Friday from Ikageng

Hi this is Dick from South Africa reporting on today's activity.

We finished the brickwork this morning and after lunch, we moved to a less desire able activity-picking up trash and rocks so we can eventually lay sod.

We also moved bricks from one pile to another (sounds like an army project) so that they will be lined up for the next house. This was backbreaking. Right after that, we were very happy to begin a new task-spreading "dugga" (mortar) on the walls to end up looking like plaster. We had to smooth it and get it to a nice finish for painting.

We were exhausted at then end of the day and really tired at dinner. Meyer joined us and kept us laughing or we would have fallen asleep!

Tomorrow we will tour a lion farm and work a half day. After that we are going to a rugby match.

All is well and we are enjoying doing God's work!!

  1. Hey guys! Me again. Deb Boyd was having trouble posting and wanted to give you this message:

"Great job, Hopewell Team! Keep building, keep blogging. All of you are in our prayers. Hey Tracey, what’s with the whining about being so tired? Send Dick out to buy you a Red Bull. And then give him (and Tony) a hug from me. Love ya all, Deb B"
